Gender Sensitization Unit (GSU) of Sikkim University Gender Sensitisation Unit (GSU) was
constituted by Prof. Mahendra P. Lama,
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Sikkim University,
Gangtok (vide Notification No SU/2009-
10/2332 dated 14 September, 2009). The first
meeting of Gender Sensitization Unit was
conducted on 8th October, 2009 at the
Administrative Building of Sikkim University.

 Special talk on Swine Flu viruses - Dr. Sunil Lal On 18th September 2009 the Department of Microbiology, Sikkim University
organized a talk by Dr. Sunil Lal, FNASc, Staff
Research Scientist from International Centre for
Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB),
New Delhi. The talk was followed by a brief
discussion with the faculty and students of
Microbiology.
Dr. Lal delivered a detailed talk on “Molecular Biology of Swine Flu virus”. He gave an overview of the Influenza virus and the areas of research works being carried out in his laboratory. read more + Department of Law & Legal Jurisprudence Studies Currently the Department offers a seven years integrated BA-LL.B.- LL.M.
course. The centre presently runs with a team of highly committed teaching
faculty that help the students to develop critical thinking, scientific temper
and dabble with larger social and historical perspectives both at very local
