Visitor, Chancellor and Chief Rector, Executive Council and Academic Council

Her Excellency Madam Pratibha Devisingh Patil, the President of India, is the Visitor of the University.

His Excellency Prof. M S Swminathan, the Father of Green Revolution in India, is the Chancellor of Sikkim University.

His Excellency Shri B P Singh, the Governor of Sikkim, is the Chief Rector of the University.

The University is being guided by its Executive Council which consists of the cream of Indian academia and civil society including three Vice Chancellors of prestigious universities, Directors of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Statistical Institute, think tanks like Madras Institute of Development Studies, eminent scientists, former civil servants and the one of the famous mountaineers

The Academic Council of Sikkim University has also been constituted with eminent academics, professionals and educationists drawn from diverse disciplines and reputed institutions across the country.
